Endangered Animals of the Arctic
with Mrs. Vaage's Grade 1's

Our class chose to study the endangered animals of the Arctic because we are interested in the North. Each child completed their own research at home or at school, and with the assistance of our student teacher, typed in their report and inserted clip art using Microsoft Word.

To begin this study, we first of all needed to determine what "endangered" meant. A background research revealed the vocabulary for endangered animals. The children chose which Canadian animals they wished to research. Some children completed their research at home, others did it completely at school.
